I am a Microsoft SharePoint MVP, Top 25 SharePoint Influencers in 2012 (Forbes, Harmon.ie), and Director of Product Evangelism at Axceler where I drive partner and community development. I previously worked at Microsoft on the team that was chartered with creating a hosted version of SharePoint (now part of Office365), and also spent 2 years as an Operations Manager, leading an engineering and PM team.
Prior to Microsoft, I co-founded a regional consulting firm (Red Hill Partners), and participated in a couple startups (E2open, NorthPoint Communications) as well as my own software company, Qoses, which I sold to Rational Software in 2001. I went on to co-found a non-profit (eBIG.org) which was later merged into another non-profit (TechVentures, funded by Lockheed Martin). Through these experiences, I was able to help develop and then deploy collaboration, social, and supply chain solutions.
In my spare time (ha!), I have co-authored a book on SharePoint solutions, three books on IBM Rational configuration management and defect tracking solutions, published hundreds of articles and papers, and currently sit on the boards of two non-profits (StoryOfMyLifeFoundation.org and Social Enterprises Inc.) and am an advisor at SnapWorkSocial.
I am a very active member of the SharePoint community, speaking regularly on SharePoint governance, administration, migration, social informatics, and general best practices.
I am a SharePoint expert on AIIM.org and a member of their Executive Leadership Council, write regularly for more than a dozen sites and communities (Wired, DigitalWPC, ECM Connection, and others), and can be found online at buckleyplanet.com, linkedin.com/in/christianbuckley,twitter.com/buckleyplanet and have a Klout score that currently averages 72 (but I'm working to improve that).
